This is a list of all the cards in Final Fantasy IX.
I haven't included their locations because I can't remember where they all are.
But I do have a save where I have all of them. Good places to look for cards are
the Card Stadium in Treno, Daguerro and Memoria. The Alexandria card can be won
by Vivi at the beginning of the game outside the Alexandria Hotel in the square
by entering the Jump Rope Challenge and skipping 200 times.
HOW TO PLAY
First walk up to someone and press Square. Then select Yes.
Once the game starts, select 5 cards to use TIP: Select the ones
with the most arrows and the highest numbers. Then you are ready to play.
To capture an opponent's cards there are 3 ways:
Straight, Battle and Combo. These are explained below
STRAIGHT
Place a card next to an opposing card. One of your white arrows must
be facing a side of the opposing card that has no arrows on it. Also if
you put a blank side next an opponent's arrow side, it doesn't count
because to take a card in this way it has to be your turn.
BATTLE
This happens when you do the above method but both cards have an arrow
facing each other. This is where the numbers and letter on the card come
into play. All numbers are in hexadecimal (0 - F). The first number is the
cards defense number. The letter is the attack type. P attacks the physical
value of the card, M attacks the magic value, X i'm not sure of but i think
it makes the battle's outcome luck-based. A I haven't a clue yet but will find
out. The third number is the card's physical value (used when attacked by a "P"
card) and the fourth number is the card's magic value (used when attacked by
an "M" card). Note if there is more than one battle available, you will get a choice.
COMBO
This happens when a card is won. If the won card has arrows pointing towards the
blank faces of the cards around it, they are automatically won too. If there are
opposing arrows, then a battle is fought. This can only happen once, i.e. there are
no "Double Combos".
I know it sounds complicated but you will get used to it. The numbers and letter
rules are not set in stone either so even if you have a higher value than the card
you are attacking, you may still lose.
