Here are some screenshots from the Japanese re-release of
Final Fantasy I. The game was released on the 31st of October.
It is also expected to get a North American release. No word
on Europe as yet though.

Details have been found on a Japanese website about an
FF7 sequel. FF producer, Yoshinori Kitase, is considering
the idea, as are many other FF Team staff including,
Tetsuya Nomura, who designs the characters for the series.
Although nothing is definate, but there is no harm in
hoping!
